Do we allow pets?
Only service pets are permitted on the Elkhorn Resort property.

Do we require a Park Pass to stay at resort?
Although you must pass through the Park gate to reach the Resort, our property is actually located just outside the south Park boundary. You'll only require a Park Pass if you plan to re-enter the Park or visit the Wasagaming townsite.

Do we require a Riding Mountain National Park Pass to walk into Wasagaming?
Yes. Visitors to Elkhorn Resort who wish to use Park services or visit any location in the Park, including the village of Wasagaming, must obtain a Park Pass.

What are the dining room hours?
The dining room (Mountain Grill Restaurant) is open from 7:30 am to 9:00 pm from October 1 - June 1. During the Summer (June 2 - September 30), the it is open from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm.

Can the general public swim in our pool?
Our indoor pool is available to guests only.

Do we allow cots?
In order to sustain the quality of our accommodations, cots are not permitted.

How long has the Elkhorn Resort been in operation?
The Resort has been in operation for over 45 years, welcoming our first guests in 1961.

If roads are closed due to adverse weather conditions, do we lose our deposit on guestrooms?
Depending on the situation, we will give you an opportunity to rebook.

Do we require reservations for the dining room?
We certainly recommend them!

What are the Resort's hours?
There is someone at the Front Desk 24 hours per day.

Can we call the toll free line and talk to a guest in a room?
Please use our direct line, (204) 848-2802.

Where can we park our trailers or snowmobiles?
Parking for trailers and snowmobiles is available at Triangle Ranch, located adjacent to the Resort. Trailers and snowmobiles may not be parked in the Resort's parking area.

Do we supply skates?
Please bring your own skates if you wish to use our outdoor skating rink.

Does Elkhorn Resort have a recycling program?
The resort works closely with the National Park, local municipalities and businesses to ensure we recycle everything possible. This program is monitored and constantly improved on.

Can we use motorized carts on the golf course?
Motorized carts are not permitted on our course.

How do you get to the Elkhorn Resort?
From Winnipeg's west perimeter highway, travel west 88 km (53 miles) on Trans-Canada Highway No. 1 past Portage La Prairie. At the intersection with the Yellowhead Highway (No. 16), turn north (right) onto Hwy. No. 16 and travel northwest through Gladstone, Neepawa and Minnedosa to Hwy. No. 10 (approx. 116 km or 70 miles). Turn north (right) on Hwy No. 10 and travel north through Erickson and Onanole (approx. 50 km or 30 miles). Just north of Onanole is the Riding Mountain National Park gate. Once you are past the RMNP gate, Elkhorn Resort is the first right hand turn after the Park gate. You do not need to go into Wasagaming to reach Elkhorn Resort.

Does the Resort have handicapped accommodations?
Yes, but these accommodations are limited and varied. Please call for further information.

Can children use the Equinox Mineral Pool at the Solstice Spa?
To use the Equinox Mineral Pool, you must be over 12 years of age.

Do spa treatments need to be booked in advance?
Yes, we recommend that all bookings be done prior to your arrival in order to allow your treatment to be at the best time for your schedule.

Is smoking permitted in any guestroom or chalet?
Smoking is not permitted in any building on Resort property, nor in any chalet or guestroom.

Are there microwaves in all the guestrooms?
There are no microwaves in any guestrooms, but microwaves are available in the chalets.

What is our cancellation policy?
14 days for guestrooms and 30 days for chalets.

Why are there no signs directing us to the resort?
Local regulations do not allow us to place signage in either direction on Hwy. 10 within the Park.

Can we bring our own firewood for the fireplaces?
Firewood is supplied for all chalets. In the guestrooms, we only allow the burning of Duraflame logs.
